Winter is here and so is the Strawberry!

Yes our first strawberry fruits started showing up. This time we are experimenting with two varieties namely Winter Dawn and Elyana. Winter Dawn is a sun friendly variety and Elyana is a shed net (shade) variety. We are growing it fully Organic. 

On many friends request we planted strawberry in small packets, you can take the plants easily and enjoy the fruit in your home throughout the season. Only limited plants are available. 

After our last year experiment some of our friends have ventured in to the Strawberry cultivation. We apriciate their interest and courage. We are sure that they will get a good crop and in the coming years more people would go for it.

Mr Shivanker and Mr Borse, Deputy Directors of Agricultural Technology Management Agency, Nagpur along with the extension officer Miss Seema visited the Date farm specialy to find out how much beneficial it would be for the Vidharba farmers.

Mr Shivanker and Mr Borse, Date Plantation is the best suited fruit crops for Vidharba because it withstands all kind of situation. Rain, no rain, Hailstorm, unnatural whether conditions nothing affects the date palm plants. It is a desert plant which grows very well in dry heat. The more heat the better for the plants. In vidharba we got amble opportunity to grow Dates. 

In the Middle East before the invention of Oil it is the Dates which helped the people to live a healthy lifestyle and also a good economy. Date farming can save Vidharba.

German students visited the date farm and were interested to see the new methods of farming

Postgraduate research students from German university visited the date farm to know the possibility of cultivating Dates in Vidharbha region.
